Bridget
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Bridget is a passionate Speech Pathologist dedicated to helping people improve their communication and swallowing function. Bridget has witnessed firsthand the impact an acquired and developmental communication disability can have on a person’s self worth.
She loves supporting people in understanding their communication disability, and helping them to communicate for improved independence and connection with others.
Bridget graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours). In her career to date, she has presented at the Speech Pathology Australia conference, and published research on Speech Pathology pedagogy. She has worked across Aged Care, community care in Aged and NDIS spaces.
While Bridget has experience working with clients from 5 years old to 102 years of age, at Advance Therapy she specialises in working with adults with communication and swallowing impairments. She has a special interest in adults with progressive neurological conditions.
Originally from a small coastal town in Mid-North Coast of NSW, she has travelled to over 30 countries, is learning Spanish, loves cooking, and dancing.
